New 2014 outreach survey released
There can be little doubt that we live in a world which is interconnected, intra-dependent and interrelated. As Christians, we hold to the biblical imperatives to love our neighbour and that all people are created and adored by God.
Our baptismal vows bring us into the neighbourhood of other Christians and call us to go where Jesus goes. As Anglicans, we have a particular history of reaching out to God’s people as part of God’s mission through God’s Church to God’s world.
If you want to know more, please download the second Diocese of Toronto outreach survey, Our Diocese Connects: Survey of Global Relationships of Churches Within the Diocese of Toronto (PDF), based on data submitted by 107 parishes as collected in September 2014. The results of the survey reveal a staggering number of “connections” and the commitment, bedrock for Anglicans, to seek to make a difference in God’s world. Of particular note are the connections to our First Nations brothers and sisters, joining in their journey.
St. Matthew – St. Aidan’s is one of the parishes who contributed to the survey. You can read the summary and find out more about the outreach being made by parishes throughout the Diocese of Toronto.
